About the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Plaque

The main eligibility criteria for the plaque are the company’s impact on its surroundings and the environment through its sustainable use of natural resources or reduction of its environmental footprint. The company must fulfil a need for people, society and the supply chain, and also contribute to making the chain more sustainable. Additionally, the business must be economically viable.

The King Willem I Foundation awards the Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship every two years to companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance in this area. In 2020, the prize was won by beer brewery Gulp Ener.
