What we do at CFP

CFP Green Buildings’ mission is to make as many buildings and organisations more sustainable as possible. With our proprietary online tools, we monitor buildings and provide insights into the best possible ways to enhance sustainability and save energy. Our hands-on consultants then translate these insights into profitable business cases. Sustainability here goes beyond applying the right construction methods and efficient energy use; we also focus on themes such as CSR, circularity, CO2 reduction, and certifications like BREEAM or WELL.

CFP is the market leader in the Netherlands and has been expanding internationally in recent years. We are now active in 26 countries, including Belgium, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Australia, and are on the verge of rolling out our software and services in even more countries. Together with our clients, we have already made 3.5 million buildings more sustainable. Our clients include large banks, technology companies, and governments with extensive building portfolios. Think of ING, ABN AMRO, Vattenfall, Vesteda, and a.s.r. Real Estate, as well as the Van Gogh Museum, the municipality of Rotterdam, and the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport.

What you will do as a Consultant Sustainable Buildings International

CFP Green Buildings is making significant international progress. With future sustainability projects in Belgium, you will be working as a Consultant Sustainable Buildings to make Belgian buildings and property portfolios more sustainable, energy-neutral, or even circular. You will investigate buildings and organisations, advising clients on corporate social responsibility, certifications like BREEAM and WELL, and potential solutions to further enhance sustainability and save energy.

Depending on your background, knowledge, and interests, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as:

  • BREEAM / WELL certification: Methods for assessing and certifying real estate projects, providing insights into sustainability performance. This offers tools and insights into aspects such as energy, health, indoor climate, or circularity.
  • ESG reporting: Focuses on Environment (environment), Social (society), and Governance (management). You will track sustainability, identify risks, and report on the sustainability performance of companies, addressing the impact on the environment, social issues such as personnel matters and diversity, and governance issues such as ethics and transparency.
  • CO2 impact assessments: Assess and report on the CO2 emissions of a building or portfolio, including inventorying CO2 emissions, calculating emissions, and translating them into clear objectives and KPIs.
  • Green bonds: A tool for financing sustainability projects, not only for companies but also for investors.

Some of your activities:

  • Visiting locations and clients in Belgium, conducting inspections and quick scans where you collect information and evidence;
  • Gathering necessary information, analysing and developing the existing sustainability and energy provisions;
  • Advising clients on potential opportunities and solutions for further sustainability and energy savings;
  • Assisting clients in obtaining sustainability certifications and realising solutions and improvements;
  • Supporting the preparation of reports;
  • Contributing to the development of reports, certifications, and related processes within CFP and internationally.

Do you recognise yourself in this?

  • A completed higher education degree (HBO or WO);
  • Experience in areas such as construction, real estate, business administration, facility management, finance, or sustainability;
  • Experience and/or strong affinity with sustainability and real estate;
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial, and proactive; you like to take initiative and are self-directed;
  • Analytical, precise, and detail-oriented, enabling you to prepare accurate reports and analyses;
  • The independent skills of a project manager to manage your own projects and client portfolios;
  • Strong communication and client-focused skills; you easily engage in conversations with clients;
  • While in-depth knowledge of BREEAM or WELL is not required, you will receive internal training and have the opportunity to obtain BREEAM (International) certifications.

Additionally, you are:

  • Available full-time;
  • In possession of a driving licence; you will also be travelling to clients on-site;
  • Living in the south of the Netherlands or Belgium;
  • Proficient in Dutch and English.
