What does a Senior Consultant Sustainable Real Estate do?
As a Senior Consultant for Sustainable Real Estate at CFP Green Buildings, you will work on projects where buildings and real estate portfolios in the Netherlands are made more sustainable, energy-neutral, or even circular. You will investigate buildings and organizations, and advise clients on corporate social responsibility, certifications, and possible solutions for making them more sustainable and saving energy.
Depending on your background, knowledge, and interests, you can focus on areas such as:
- BREEAM/WELL certification: Methods for assessing, certifying, and providing insights into the sustainability performance of real estate projects. It offers guidelines and insights into aspects such as energy, health, indoor climate, or circularity.
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): A directive that requires companies to report on the impact of their activities on sustainability starting in 2024.
- ESG reporting: Focuses on Environment, Social, and Governance. Here, you can monitor sustainability, identify risks, and report on the sustainability performance of companies. It concerns the impact of a company on the environment, social aspects such as personnel matters and diversity, and governance such as ethics and transparency.
- CO2 Impact Assessments: Assessing and reporting on a building or portfolio, for example, by inventorying CO2 emissions, performing emission calculations, and translating them into clear objectives and KPIs.
- Green bonds: An instrument for financing sustainability projects, not only for companies but also for investors.
With this task package, you will become a successful Senior Consultant Sustainable Real Estate:

- Guiding clients in obtaining sustainability certifications and implementing solutions and improvements;
- Supporting the preparation of sustainability reports;
- Guiding junior and mid-level colleagues;
- Contributing to the development of reports, certifications, and related processes within CFP.
You have what it takes:
- A completed HBO or university degree in a field such as architecture, real estate, business administration, facility management, finance, or sustainability;
- Senior experience in the sustainability or real estate sector;
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial, and proactive; you love to tackle challenges and are self-directed!
- You are analytical, precise, and have an eye for detail to prepare accurate reports and analyses;
- The independent skills of a project manager to manage your projects and client portfolios;
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented; you easily engage in conversations with clients;
- Subject matter knowledge about BREEAM or WELL is not necessary; you will be trained internally.
In addition, you are or have:
- Full-time availability;

- Residing in the Randstad or a maximum of 45 minutes from Apeldoorn;
