The winners of the number one sailing event of the year have been announced! On Friday 15 September, the Green Buildings Regatta took place in Enkhuizen, with Signify emerging as the big winner. Smart Workplace and Sodexo were 2nd and 3rd.
It was a particularly exciting race again this year, with 17 boats and some 200 participants competing for the coveted title of Green Buildings Regatta champion. The starting gun was fired this year by Eduard van Zuijlen, Mayor of Enkhuizen, who proudly welcomed the Green Buildings Regatta to picturesque Enkhuizen.
In the morning, the teams had the opportunity to hone their technique during a practice race. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and there was plenty of wind. “We had a wind dip for a while, but fortunately we were still able to sail a third race,” according to the race director.
After a sunny day on the water, Signify received the coveted Green Buildings Regatta trophy with their boat named ONYX. Smart Workplace followed them in second place with their boat ‘Flyer’. Third place was taken by Sodexo, with their boat ‘Miesje’.
Bram Adema of CFP Green Buildings stressed the importance of such events to raise awareness of sustainability and encourage collaboration in the sector. “The Green Buildings Regatta is not only about sailing, but also about strengthening our collective commitment to a greener future,” he says.
