Our Green Buildings Tool (GBT) is a powerful software that aids clients in optimising their building portfolios for maximum sustainability and energy savings.
As the Algorithm Development Lead at CFP Green Buildings, you will play a pivotal role in developing, testing, and validating algorithms for our Green Buildings Tool. Leading a self-steering multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the successful implementation of the tool in multiple countries. Your primary responsibilities, which will occupy around two-thirds of your time, include project management, analytical work, and maintaining data accuracy to support our global expansion efforts.
In addition to these core responsibilities, we understand the importance of personal and professional growth. Therefore, the remaining one-third of your role can be tailored according to your interests and skills, offering opportunities in project management, product ownership, or consultancy. This unique aspect of the role allows you to shape your career path within our organisation, aligning your work with your passions and expertise while contributing to our mission of sustainability.
To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of key qualities and qualifications. A strong analytical and technical mindset is essential for understanding energy efficiency in buildings. While a degree in data science, engineering, or mathematics could be helpful, your demonstrated ability to manage projects and get things done with the help of many but with sole responsibility sets you apart. Having experience in consultancy or a background in building/civil engineering is a plus but not mandatory.
At the same time, you can perfectly balance the level of detail with business sense: sometimes, less is more. Your business-savvy approach enables you to align algorithm development with broader strategic objectives while effectively prioritising tasks. Good communication skills are essential for collaborating well with colleagues and stakeholders.
